About Dr. Hubbard
New York City psychologist Dr. Bruce Hubbard founded CBT for Tinnitus to help people with tinnitus benefit from the principles and strategies of cognitive behavior therapy, the most researched, clinically-proven approach to tinnitus.
Dr. Hubbard was an experienced clinical psychologist when he developed severe tinnitus distress in 2005 (See Dr. Hubbard's Tinnitus Story). At first devastated, he was encouraged to learn that cognitive behavior therapy, an approach he'd practiced his entire career, was a highly-regarded tinnitus treatment. Yet finding an experienced cognitive behavior therapist who was expert in tinnitus proved impossible. So Bruce guided himself through a successful course of CBT for tinnitus. Since then, he has helped hundreds of others learn to live full, valued lives with tinnitus!
Bruce Hubbard is President of the New York City Cognitive Behavior Therapy Association, Associate Clinical Professor at Icahn School of Medicine, Mt. Sinai Hospital, Founder and Director of the Cognitive Health Group, a CBT practice in New York City. Bruce has been quoted as an authority in Tinnitus Today, Shape, Real Simple, O, Maxim, CNBC, New York Post, and New York Daily News.
